Having a tidy up in my shed this morning I thought it was about time I emptied the contents of my big old game bag I take pigeon shooting with me and what a assortment of odd and sxxds there was. this is some of it .

Folding Pruning Saw

A Pair Of Secateurs

A Bundle Of Kebab Sticks

A Dozen Or So Spring Clips

A Small Tin Of Plasters

A Packet Of Plastic Ties

A Small Claw Hammer....... For knocking a nail in a Telegraph post to hang your net on.

Nails

Rolls of Insulation Tape..

Two Small Screwdrivers .....Used them once for extracting a swollen case in the breech

A Small Radio .......... I know its a bit sad, but it pass the time away when its quite

Every thing above I have used on the odd occasions and I have now put some eye wash in my motor after Mr JDog said he had some in his for his dog , and if its good enough for his dog then its good enough for me .

So the question for today is what do you carry about with you and how often do you use the ?

A lot less than above but some others are:

String

Penknife

Bungee

Tend to keep all sorts in the truck and take as deem needed eg bill hook, pruning saw, bangers, flags.

The only things I never bother with is flags , weather it laziness on my part I don't know but the effort in putting them all up don't convince me they do any good . but I know there are people who swear by them and good luck to those that do flag the field .

If I can I try and get up wind and let the sound of shot keep them on the move .

In the rucksack I use for pigeon shooting I keep.

My folding chair

3 nets 2 x 6 meter and one 5 meter.

Folding pruning saw

A small drink bottle filled with sharpened metal rods for neck props

Some barrier tape for flag making

A clicker

Paracord guy ropes and pegs

Spring clips

Mora clipper knife

Carp sacks ( for dead birds)

Carrier bags

When I actually go shooting I add to this 100 cartridges (spares in the car)

A 17am / hr battery

A bottle of squash for me

A bottle of water for the dog

So quite a lot in one bag and its fairly heavy

Add to that a rod quiver with 6 hide poles , my gun , magnet , floaters and fibreglass canes and a brolly if it talks of rain .

Finally in a separate bag 15-20 decoys
