Walked down to the nearest town (15 minute stroll) .. made it to the main square and decided to have a mooch about. To my utter surprise stumbled across a small gun shop. They had shotgun cartridges in the window, also bullet cartridges. I also noticed some .177 air rifle pellet. Can't say l'd heard or seen of the makes on display before (though they did have Crosman). So come this Wed/Thursday l intend on paying the shop a visit. I did look in the window but couldn't see any JSB pellets. Possibly branded under a different name. Will try and communicate with the shop keeper and see what he has to recommend. Think its going to be a google translate jobbie. Will have to do a conversion and see if its worth while bringing a couple of thousand home ... On our way here Sunday gone, we had driven round the outskirt of Brno. I seem to recall the famous rifle manufacturer CZ produces their rifles in that very town. l feel a plank using the speaking google translate. hoggysreels Posted June 23, 2015 Author Report Share Posted June 23, 2015 (edited) Strolled back to gunshop .. bought 3 x 500 tins of CZ Diablo Standard .177 pellets ... £2.73p per tin Guy in shop had about as much a grasp on English as l had on Czech. Not a JSB pellet in sight. So plumped for the CZ make. Might go back for a few more tins. Just got to be careful of the weight; also they might be rubbish pellets .. just a shame l can't find JSB! Did noticed badger pelts strewn about the shop and what looked like a mounted Herring gull on display. Its not exactly a big place. 15 minutes takes you the wholr width of it. So l was surprised at finding a second gunshop. This was more like an armoury. You name it, they had it on display. Bought some JSB EXACTS .177. 4.42mm .. £4.71p per 500 tin .. stocked up on a few different types. The mark up in the UK is massive. p.s. ... had time to burn with wife in hospital here; so read "Once a Pilgrim" Will Scully" ...if you've not come across it, its well worth seeking out .. leaving my copy here for a patient to read ...
