So here we go. Comrade Nicola is at last confessing that the SNP don't believe in personal property.

So a quick analysis of the world according to the SNP.

Externalise - Blame others for your problems.

Claim you're being oppressed when it's actually you that's dishing that one out.

Propose radical land reform.

Raise a rabble using an alehouse orator (with his own past actions has demonstrated that he only supports democracy if it works for him).

Blame someone else.

Shout down any opposition.

Make life hell for the people who disagree with you.

Mobilise an angry disaffected youth.

Seize power during times of economic distress by offering a land of milk and honey.

Blame someone else.

We are already starting to see refugees and people being victimised on their own homes for supporting a different belief.

Sound like anyone else we've heard of?........................Ah...the joys of Nationalism.

Saddler can you expand a bit on the guns bans - is this just air rifles or something wider?

I certainly have concern's about the moves to make Estate's responsible for wildlife management but remove all their authority - including the right of ownership. Typical big government approach.

This is the SNP's great experiment. The only problem is that all governments that try social engineering ALWAYS ultimately fail. Scotland will suffer for it - and the good people do not deserve this visited upon them....mainly because...let's face.... it most Scots did not want the SNP at the election nor it's separatism at the referendum.

MacArsekill stated that putting airguns on license was STAGE ONE of the SNP plans to end gun ownership in Scotland.

(Unless you need one for work under very restrictive conditions/criteria)

The SNP make no secret that they plan to go after shotguns next, esp. multishots....then S.1 in general

I'm actively looking for work in England & Wales.

Comrade Sturgeon and Salmon are no different to Mugabe or Stalin. Idealistic socialistic non-workable sense in their part. It wont stop there for Salmond...next he'll want all non native Scots out of Scotland (can you see the headlines of we did the same to the Scots out of England? I like the Scots and dont want them to go anywhere personally  ). Forcing land owners to hand over land considered as not used properly or ticking the boxes of their political agendas wont secure the beautiful Highlands, Grampians or Lowlands for any future generations. It will likely be the start of irreversible destruction of habitat and environment. Who cares who owns the land now. Everyone enjoys the right to roam. The countryside is open to all, north of the border so what economic miracle is Sturgeon thinking of? Concreting over it all for social housing? Out of town supermarkets? Motorways? Gawd knows...the SNP are quite barmy imho. Forcing business taxes on estates will be the last straw and hard working Scots land managers, tenant farmers and gamekeepers wont thank them when they're being evicted and made redundant. I really do feel sorry for the Scots people...they really have voted in a self destructive future for themselves with these idiots in power. What makes me even more angry is that these political nut-jobs are allowed to vote on English matters too, not content with their plans to screw their own country and economy.

Bloody hell I missed that one - I knew about the air guns but the rest had passed me by. They seriously want to destroy a form of sport which Scotland is famous the world over for?

What is their argument?

Mr MacAskill said: "With recorded offences involving firearms in Scotland already at a 32-year low, today’s figures emphasise the importance of a robust licensing scheme. Each one of the firearms included in these statistics belongs to someone who has a legitimate reason for owning it.

"Thanks to the hard work of Scotland's police forces and responsible dealers, firearms owners are increasingly aware of their responsibilities. This is one of the ways in which we can help to prevent firearms from being used in criminal ways.

"There is more to be done, but firearms legislation currently remains reserved to Westminster. As we have repeatedly made clear, we believe that the law is long overdue for reform and we have been calling for the powers to regulate all firearms legislation in the Scottish Parliament. That will allow us to modernise and clarify the law, and so better protect our communities.

"I have today written to the Home Secretary Theresa May raising once again the need to tighten control over firearms."

SO...let me get this right...current licensing methods are clearly working so the SNP want the Home Secreatary to do something about it (snigger). Talk about a solution looking for a problem!!!! The 'increasingly aware of their responsibilities' bit is just farcical.

and then

"Mr MacAskill insists it is “simply not right” for airguns to be held without licence."

Surely it's not right for him to be out in public without a carer or medication?

Comrade Salmond is in favour of immigration I am sure this is one of his agendas!

There was a comment a few months back from some of the people who now own the small island of Gigha on the west coast of Scotland. If I remember, the gist of the comment was it was great to be part of an ownership plan but very costly and hard work to keep it going.

The vast majority of the private land in Scotland including the various estates are owned by non Scots and has been handed down through generations of family. I don't have an issue with them at all because I know the revenue these landowners bring into Scotland is considerable through fishing, shooting and other tourism attractions and keep a good number of people in employment. I think its is an attempt at another tax grab. Dangerous times ahead me thinks.

"I have just managed to pay of my mortgage this month on my house and vast acreage of land (2.5 acres in total) and unless red sturgeon bans all firearms I will defend my property " (*** aff ma land youes) :shoot:

SNP's views on legitimate gun ownership will limit this to professional use only ie by landowners/employees for the purposes of pest/ vermin control or deer management. This would eliminate any form of sporting shooting north of the border. Those sporting estates would immediately become worthless. Fishing too, or sport fishing, is on their hit list and this has commenced I think from a post a few weeks ago - assuming this wasn't a senior moment.

The up side to this is it will push up land prices elsewhere but we may be invaded!!
