I thought the principle of the hide poles they do is very good , but there was someone on here the other week saying his just snapped off trying to get them into hard ground.

I usually take 4 or 5 nets, 7 or 8 hide poles, magnet, flapper, 12 fuds, 20 shell decoys, 1x 20ah battery, 1x 7ah battery and other various bits.

There is no way possible I could carry half that , on top of what you mentioned there are cradles , gun , shells , dead pigeons for the magnet , seat to sit on and refreshments for me and my dog , plus the game bag with my bits and pieces in .

Unless I can drive up to where I intend shooting I normally make two trips and all my gear is in post office sacks , there are better bags ect on the market, but I have had these for years and I am to mean to invest in anything else .

Yeah I think even with a big bag I will still need to do a couple of trips it's just I want a bigger bag to try and do two trips rather than three like I sometimes have to.

It all depend on the individual really , why have a massive bag to cram every thing in and then you find it is to heavy to lift .

I have got different nets , decoys , batteries and seats so if I have got a fair way to walk I can use my lightest gear and get away with one trip or if its not to far and I want a bigger batterie , full body decoys and my swivel seat ect. I am happy to make two trips .

So in one bag can you get nets, decoys, batteries and all of the other bits needed?

In my rucksack I carry:

3 nets

Bergara seat

flapper

magnet + arms

2 12ah batteries

cartridges

Hide pole table

12 fuds

and a range of bits (eg knife, multitool, tent pegs, guy rope, walkie talkie, clamps etc)

My hide poles are in a separate bag.

What bag do you have as this is the kind of thing I'm after?
