its a mistake and one that as an online sale they dont legally have to do as high street retailers do and honour it... it would be a nice thing to do for loyal customers but lets be honest how many retailers can afford to honour things like this.. especially as i presume from what your saying a load of orders were placed and probably a fair chunk of them by new customers who saw the facebook page and jumped on it.. in their place i wouldnt honur

Hello,

This is my mistake. I messed up big time. As a few of you may know when we run out of stock we put our prices up to £999.99 so people can view and watch the items but do not buy them. Somehow i stupidly put it to 99p, and did not check it.

I would like to apologize to anybody who took the time to order them, and also for any disappointment caused. If you have purchased them you will have now been refunded, and you will have received and apology email along with some discounts we can offer to try and make up for it.

You wouldn't believe the problems it has caused here, i think i am pretty lucky to still have my job.

My apologies once again.

Kind regards,

Oscar

A1 Decoy

Yes, most people have been very understanding. However, as expected some people are going to leave bad feedback because of it, and this will be the most damaging. After issuing about 650 refunds this morning i am now going through messages and emails offering my apologies. What a nightmare, i will not make that mistake again that's for sure.

Thanks

Oscar

Well at least you are been honest about the genuine mistake and offering an explanation to customers. Know what it feels like to make a mistake and work and have to spend the next few days fixing it and contacting customers.

Yes i am doing my best to put it right. Nice to know someone has been in the same boat!

Greed, nothing more. I can understand someone buying them simply because they are cheap but 5,10,50 lots? I've noticed EBAY have become a bit more realistic over the last year or so, it is certainly worth having the conversation with them explaining the mistake and the fact that you have offered discounts on future purchases as an apology. Realistically the majority of those that brought stupid amounts would not be one of your usual customers. The only winner in this is Paypal.

Not wishing to hijack the thread, but those who ordered 50 lots or so were just trying to profiteer. I had a similar experience with Screwfix a few weeks back, received an email at work to say that they were doing AA batteries at a really good price. I went to the local branch first thing in the morning to be told 'Someone bought the entire stock during the night!' Obviously just to resell... And that's all your multiple order purchasers were trying to do. Glad you still have your job Oscar! Grin and bear it!

Mike.

Thanks for the support. We have almost sorted this mess out, we are now just down the people who are going to give us grief about it, . 95% of people have been really understanding about a genuine mistake, as you say these are the genuine pigeon shooters just looking for a cheeky bargain but fully understanding when we explain the situation and provide a refund. The other 5% seem determined to screw us into the ground, im trying my best to keep them happy too, but its proving difficult!

Thanks again.

only joking Oscar, the forum is lucky to have you on here as any problem or queries I have with any of your products is always sorted straight away, with an excellent level of service.

good luck with the refunds and keep up the good work!!!

Profiteers, don't you just love them, not. They are like blood sucking vampires, living off the misery of others. Sooner or later the table's are turned and they won't be too happy. I wouldn't worry about it to much as you have a loyal following " me included". The word of mouth is a strong and will show through in the end.

Unfortunately thats eBay for you... I do a hell of a lot of business on there and most people are ok but the ones that are a pita are a real pita and sometimes youve just got to take it on the chin and say "NEXT!!!". Ive had bad feedback simply because some couldnt be bothered to read and some because people dont know hoe the eBay system works (even though I thought it was idiot proof).

Good luck with them.. Fingers crossed that they wont find the feedback button!
