mossberg-operator
Lost my ear plugs today while shooting. Not sure what to buy next. Any advice from You guys, please? What is your favourite? What is a good buy? Why? Cheers.
LeadWasp
Well for ear defenders I'd say 3M Peltor SporTac. Even the Peltor 'dumb' ear defenders are some of the best around. Ear plugs don't stop bone conductance. To really protect your hearing you need full coverage and no gaps around the cushions if you're wearing a hat. bill425g6
Spec savers moulded ear plugs, they do them especially for shooting and other sports. Range of colours and you can hear normal conversation. I've had a pair for 4yrs now and they're excellent. I bought mine for £90 I believe they are now around £
tonker
I use Howard leights , Very good battery life as they turn themselves off if you forget. Mine are a bit tight. but after 40+ years of shooting without them I'm just trying to save what little hearing I've got left.

Nuke
Not really true that ear defenders give full coverage, you would have to cover a lot more of the back of your head than what the muffs do. All according to my girlfriend who is a head-neck radiologist. /Markus

And you'd pay a hell of a lot more than what a decent set of ear defenders cost to get your hearing back if it goes!
