Snowbee Aluminium Handled Landing Nets

Got to the lake to see a guy struggling with his landing net. Eventually with both of us pulling in opposite directions we got the handle to extend. As it was brand new - first time out - he figured it was just plain stiff. Two hours later, I saw him struggling again. This time, I'm on the other side of the lake so can't help. I could see it was big and after a right old ding dong he got the rainbow on the bank - all 15 lbs of it. Strolled around for a shufti later, "'ere", he said, "you seen my net?" The handle had snapped completely in half. Not good.

I also rate the Snowbee range - see the 'Kennick Killer Fly' thread. The handle was extended to reach the water some 3' below the bank. At this point it's not possible to get hold of the net - unless you wish to join the fish! Plus the guy was a pensioner so not superbly nimble. Shouldn't have snapped as it didn't take the whole weight of the fish as it came up the bank.
