Flight ponds / river

Recommended Posts

I think many use barley as its the cheapest , but ducks will eat pretty much anything edible you can get in reasonable quantities .

Wheat , Barley , rapeseed , potatos potatoe and other veg peelings , pellets the list is endless

We get a great deal on old potatoes, our ducks have done 5 tonne already

Why is barley best?

In my experience, I have had the best results with barley. I think it lasts a bit longer than wheat in the water and some of it floats which probably attracts ducks and makes it easier for them to find it. Its also normally cheaper than wheat. I haven't used spuds because they aren't really grown around here.

What do you think is best?

I don't know what's best. I usually use wheat, because one of my farmers does me a very good deal on it.
