Scully Posted July 31, 2015 Report Share Posted July 31, 2015 I know I shouldn't be counting down the days but it's not long now 'til the pheasant season is upon us. Our syndicate doesn't start until the 7th November, but no doubt landowner on our rough shoot will be chomping at the bit to get started asap as long as birds are ready. Was out last night and on the walk home with dog and gun about 2115 there is a definite autumnal feel in the air. Meanwhile am not wishing the summer away by any means and am hoping for some good long hot summer days and plenty of decoying come harvest time.......but must confess to getting a little itchy about pheasants. butchdickason Posted August 19, 2015 Report Share Posted August 19, 2015 We start on 10th October, but until then I am more than contented sitting in the Pigeon hide shooting the odd woodpigeon, the wheat will be harvested in the next week so with a bit of luck there will be more birds to try and decoy.
