Deserving praise for local RFD's

Over the past two weeks I have collected two shotguns from two different RFD's and I have to say I could not be happier with the service I have received.

The first was Bill Pink, otherwise known as Historic Guns and Militaria, in Arlesey who was kind enough to let me have a single barrel Baikal IG18 for nothing. Having travelled up to see him he realised that my certificate was brand new, and so he filled everything out for me and gave me some much needed advice on what I needed to do and what I should look for in a double barrel. A fantastic personal service.

Having spent just one day out I realised that I loved it but I really needed that double to go further. Enter Country Pursuits in Rickmansworth, owned and run by Trever Stanton, a champion clay shooter, more than happy to show off his trophies in the shop for you! I only popped in on the off chance, as it is on the way home from work, but within 10 minutes Trevor had understood what I was after, assured me it was about right in his opinion, and produced a second hand Baikal 27 with 2 sets of barrels, that he let me have for £150. not only that, but he had spoken to me about lessons (£75 a pop including clays and cartridges with him or Cheryl, another champion) and put me in touch with AC sporting targets, a club not 1/2 an hour from my house that not only offers 4 free lessons included in the membership fee, but also has an excellent air rifle range, so I can play with my Falcon as well!

In 2 weeks, in 2 visits, to 2 dealers, every issue that I had been facing has been sorted. I cant thank these two enough and would certainly recommend either or both to anyone

Great to hear really good news stories like this. A brilliant start to your shooting life and I hope that your good experience of these two RFD's results in more business for them too.

In the world of commerce that is becoming dominated by price and the internet it is good to hear about old fashioned face to face quality service.
