tignme Posted August 21, 2015 Report Share Posted August 21, 2015 (edited) As an aside from the next meet at Houston, I have access to ground for a clay shoot for the fourth funday. Its in east Ayrshire. Manual traps i have some and can borrow others. Everybody traps and collects rubbish. Cost would be clays only and maybe a small donation to farmer. I would set all stands up. The format for the day would be 5 stands with various amount of pairs,eg,2prs 3prs 4prs 5prs. A walk back teal stand with singles and prs. A two man flush with only going away trap type targets. The total targets approx 100. All shot as one squad,eg 10 guns two trapping 8 shooting. First bush on left is the gents and ladies second (.Back to back please.) No chuck facilities. If any body would volunteer to do the barbie go for it. I will start and throw in two cases pepsi. We have had a lot of rain so would be a welly boot day,(no ewes available) I need at least two weeks notice to get together. Date middle of October or to suit massive(Sunday) I might have four inc myself and maybe farmers son n pal. Everyone needs Insurance. Responses please. Obtw i have a bottle of Whisky for high gun. Weather in October is always going to be really hit or miss, but I would be happy to do the BBQ or a giant pot of chilli or similar. I am happy to pitch in a crate of beer along with your whisky. Without wishing to steal your idea it is maybe something that we could start as an annual event, the Scottish PW bbq/picnic/clay bashing day.
