New Aftermarket steel shot chokes available in the U.K

Hi all having tested a fair few chokes and decided upon which I prefer and choose to use after several seasons use, having swapped guns I could no longer source a particularly good choke that 'terror' ised the birds 😉 due to a vast reduction in the U.S range. However I have the opportunity to make some similar chokes here in the U.K for almost all the current modern fowling guns, if I can get a larger order the price per unit will come down considerably due to better production run. These will be made from the highest grade 17-4 steel professionally finished and be made for use with steel shot and capable of handling high velocity loads better than conventional chokes. These would be extended, unported chokes.

If you are interested please contact me via pm

Haven't shot a kicks terry to compare. Brileys worked very well, however this internal profile is a different profile and seems far more forgiving across a wide range of loads, I.e both HV and slow loads, factory vs home loads.

10 bore are a possibility I haven't looked into...... Yet! As myself and mates all use them. Let's see what we can do with the 12, as should be more of us wanting these, if everyone wants them I will certainly look into it.

I do need your threading and constrictions though guys.... I.e Mobil choke .690 or rem pro bore .690....

I personally think the most useable would be a .690 or .680 as .675 was great upto 1's

These chokes are from full to 2xfull. Something g like that. Depends on the boring of your gun.

My Zabala is .729 in the bore ,every ten thou under that in the choke area equates to a choke .

In other words a choke which measures .719 is a quarter choke in my Zabala , .709 is half ,.699 is 3/4 ,.689 is full.

I have a Terror .675 in it now and that shoots everything really well.

Hi Tony, these are specially designed constriction which is how it can have such tight constriction. i used a.675 in a benelli which bore was .720, so that was 0.45 of choke, which equates to a tight lead full choke. It patterned my 3.5mm and 4mm steel loads fantastically, however a .690 would be more suited to larger shot I.e BB, BBB

The .655 that I use in the Xtrema is great for the hw 13 2s and the biggest I go to in that now is 4mm. The threads swelled a little when I used fast 4.5mm steel through it. I think a .675 - .690 would suit me well.

Thanks for all the interest lads , lot of people getting in touch! if you can update me on gun model you require choke for, those of you who haven't, would be a help. At this stage I just want to know who is seriously interested, so I can work out numbers on a single order. Costings will follow this via pm etc...... Please no time wasters.

Something like this?
