Gun shots

Im going deccoying today, want to take the dog... In training he is fine with starting pistol and a .38 dummy launcher.. But im a little wary of hide shooting with a 20 and a 12g... I will probably be using my 410 as i like a challenge but chap i will be with will more than likely have a 12...

I may be worrying over nothing, what are peoples thoughts?

Decided not to take him and only took the 410. But i only shot two pigeons of the 3 i shot at... Spent most of the time sun bathing in a barley field hedge haha, they were flying, just not committed to the pattern...

Thats about as perfect a start as you can get

Perfect start?

Leaving the dog at home I would suspect , you have on a few of your posts now shown that you are intent on rushing things with your dog despite plenty of advice against it .

Take your time and you will have a worthwhile companion for years to come , rush things and you will likely end up with a pain in the **** , trust me I speak from experience .

Sorry I thought you ment thr mate and his 12 bore.

I know assume you left the dog. Shame because that sort of session is what you should seek as a start

Couple of birds not too much noise over a short period

Yeah mate with 12g ended up stuck at his nans soaked due to a water leak he was having to fix. And he seems to be okay with gun shots. Just knowing when to take out in field rather than rush or hold back etc
