Dead bird decoys

Recommended Posts

I would never disagree with dead birds being the better decoy , but I admit to having a passion for trying to get the birds to decoy well with artificial , be it on the ground , rotary , bouncer, lofter, flapper or peckers.

Yes some days they are difficult to pull in but that can happen with real birds too and challenges your field craft.

I like to try the gizzmo's with artificial and real as I feel needed.

These days at my age with the majority of my permissions being walk up I take artificial and as light a kit possible depending on the walking distance, add real birds as shot or substitute the artificial if I think they are needed.
