Sea fishing Northumberland

Try beadnell just a mile or two south and fish the skeer with a lure for pollack, or try craster and fish the deep gulleys on the shore line towards dunstanburgh castle for pollack and mackerel.

If beach fishing is your thing try beadnell beach for flatties or warkworth beach for flatties and the odd bass.

There's also a good sea running today once it dies off a bit there should be a few cod about.

When I lived in beadnell the harbour was a laugh! I used to take my son down mid tide and fish the tide in and half out! We used a silver size 16 on a 2lb line with 2bb shot just above the hook! Drop it 3 foot or do below the water and jig it. We used to catch tiddlers for hours! No bait and loads of action!

There is a rock over the back you can get onto for spinning that produced some good fish too! Saw a guy catch a sea trout there once too
