Bladerunnertoo
Depends what your filling, take the Rapid for example = murder,i kid you not,Hw 100k quite simple, the only other thing is i prefer the (cleaner) air of the Dive bottle, but yes the pump is adequate, with the proviso of what gun. flynny
Get a tank mate, you'll only end up buying one one in the future , Stirrup pumps are hard work, Atb Flynny
chasechicken
I got a second hand 3l tank for about £100 and am pleased I did. The pump sounds hard work (unless you do it after every 20 shots or so - so I'm told) .. but also it's not clean air and down the line can cause rusting and other problems internally due to the moisture. Or something .... again this is from my research.
evo
if you want my advice ,,scrap the idea of getting a pump,,although some on here like to be macho and pump up everything they can, you would be better in the long run to get a 300bar cylinder, it takes 1min, its totally clean air so will not cause your rifle any internal damage in the future but most importantly you wont be out of breath once you fill your rifle, try filling a daystate airwolf with a pump and you will understand exactly what I mean,,,heart attack springs to mind
secretagentmole
With a pump you have to stop and let the pump cool down, so doing something like an Air Ranger is not quite so bad. As long as the pump has an effective moisture trap and you remember to change the Dry Pacs and not use the pump in thick fog, a sauna or a monsoon, it is no worse than diving air. Tom Gaylord knows his stuff on pumps so read and watch here... http://www.pyramydair.com/article/Using_a_hand_pump_May_2006/30 But a diving cylinder is a lot ruddy easier! Marki
I re filled a 3l tank with a hand pump.......once! How long did that take? I have a pump as a backup. Pumping to 200 bar isn't that hard once you've got the knack. Great work out as well. I found it invaluable when I was diagnosing a leak on a gun I built. rovercoupe
I did it in 10 bar sessions, the pump gets too hot otherwise. Took ages but wanted to see if it could be done.
