Had up to six a few times, I shoot quite a bit of ground and am usually out 2-3 times a week and very rarely get a blank night. Normally get one or two a night. I've heard of large numbers being taken in a night, usually including foxes that have been neutered, or old foxes wandering about looking lost!?

Fair play to you mate I always see you posting lots of kills in the fox tally. No pics though mate?

I'll see if I can get you some photos loaded of the next few times I'm out, I consider my self very lucky with the ground I have to shoot, I have 6 large dairy farms more or less neighbouring each other with a good mix of woodland, silage fields, and two pheasant shoots to cover. One place in particular just seems to be a magnet for fox and can almost guarantee one or two each week, a friend of mine from mid wales came down for a look once and he had three within 200 yards of each other on one permission, you may now him? He makes a very good line of moderators at his machine shop in llandod.

I think a lot depends on circumstances and time of year, for example if there are cubs about.

My best pure numbers wise in one outing is 7, but 4 were cubs. Adult wise, it is 4.

As and aside, I have shot an awful lot of singleton adults this year, all in very good condition. I have a sneaking suspicion that a very large and active nearby fox welfare group is releasing onto one of my main farms, which would account for the numbers and relative naivety of some of the animals I have encountered this year. If it werent for the fact that I am commuting to London every day in the week I could probably be racking up some silly numbers, though it's fair to say that wouldnt be through skill particularly!

32 is an incredible number by any standards.

Look forward to seeing some pics and keep up the fine work bud. I thought you must have some pretty tidy ground with the numbers you shoot :)
