Guest
Hello all, does anybody shoot clays with pigeons carts such as Clear Pigeon etc? In order to avoid messing about changing all the time and just get used to one cartridge and getting good with them?
BrowningB525
A lot of my clay places are restricted to 28g loads for noise. Some places are restricted to 6 or 7 shot size due to the further shot carry for larger shot. Hamster
I use clay shells for pigeon, only proviso being the shot size which for me happens to be 7's. If you really must order the same shot size then try 7.5's but I can't see why you can't just order some 8's for clays and 7's for pigeon. Bluebarrels
The shot fall-out range will be too far for most clay shoots, that's why most restrict to 28g loads BB Normally for clay shooting 71/2-8-9 are the shot sizes used, 28g and below Normally for pigeon shooting 5-6 are the shot sizes used, 28g and above BB
Stonepark
Shoot pigeons with clay shells, in my case favourite is Gamebore White Gold Fibre 7.5it 28g (which are actually 6.5 English), so good for pigeons and use these or there 8it which is a English 7 1/4 for clays. Any of the euro clay cartridges would probably be the same Fiocchi, Rio, RC etc. as they are all continental sizes. Similar to above you can also get clay cartridges in 7 but not many in fibre as all tend to be plaswad for trap. dougall
pretty sure w/g 7.5s are 7.5s................ OP nearly all clay grounds restrict you to 1 oz/28g max load so clear pigeons are no good.
landyboy
White golds are English sizes ! Black golds are European

fenboy
Do heavy loads travel further ie a 21g load will not go as far as a 28g load of the same size shot? No , its the shot size that dictates the distance it will travel not the load weight
