Icotec or foxpro callers

Icotec 350 for me . Foxpro is a fine bit of kit ( long as you dont need to set it up more than 100 yrds ) .

I have dumped most of the calls and recorded myself with various distress calls .

If you can... see if you can get the chance to try both .buy what suits your needs.

Edit just to point out that i only really use the Icotec in the winter months . In the summer i like to use my hand calls as the sound travels a lot better on a still night rather than trying when its blowing a gale . If that makes sense .

Thanks guys for the info I like that the icotec works further do these company's provide a website to down load calls or is it more you need to find your own?

I have an ICOTEC. gc300 and an ICOTEC gc500, plus a Primos Alpha Dogg.

Yes the Alpha Dogg is brilliant, but money wise the gc500 is more bang for the buck and works just as well.

Both FoxPro and ICOTEC provide downloads, but the ICOTEC are FREE, while you have to pay for the FoxPro calls (you have to pay for the PRIMOS calls too)

Just got a GC500. They added a load of extra calls at no extra cost. It was delivered next day too.

Had a quick go with it indoors, and my terrier went for it immediately

So far so good, hopefully it'll help me bag a few foxes over the weekend.

* Only slight gripe - it could do with a camera tripod thread on the base, to enable attachment to a bank stick or similar. No matter though, it can hang by a piece of string from the carry handle.

Find what thread it is, and glue a small piece of wood to the bottom with the corresponding threaded base. This is what I did with a telescope once, when the thread broke.
