yidoharry Posted October 6, 2015 Report Share Posted October 6, 2015 I've been thinking about investing in some pigeon cradles but before doing so I wanted to know if they're worth it and if they work well. I'm lucky that I can drive to my desired spot so carrying them around is not a problem. Would really appreciate everyone's opinion. Cheers. pigeon controller Posted October 6, 2015 Report Share Posted October 6, 2015 They are very useful on stubbles and rape to show your decoys above the crop so they can be spotted by passing birds. aga man Posted October 6, 2015 Report Share Posted October 6, 2015 Although not essential pieces of kit, I have found my dead bird cradles very useful at certain times of the year. Hamster Posted October 6, 2015 Report Share Posted October 6, 2015 Yes well worth having some in your kit but you need to be very careful gathering them up as they can get lost very easily which won't bode well for any farm machinery. marsh man Posted October 7, 2015 Report Share Posted October 7, 2015 I make my ones out of old fencing wire and I dare say I use them at least nine times out of ten when I go after pigeons , apart from drillings ( even on them I still use em ) I cant think of many times where I could do without them .
