dad Posted October 29, 2015 Report Share Posted October 29, 2015 geese and ducks started to hit a rape field about 8 acres farmers asked us to keep them off, its about 1/2 mile from some lakes and surrounded by fields of fresh wheat shoots ( is that unusual ) we have watched it all week and every night about 60 geese, pinks, greys, and canadas. have been coming about 4.45 pm with a few duck for good measure. they come in different groups about 15feet up so we will need to get them up. the canadas always land on the wheat and walk to the rape.dont really want to shoot them nobody wants to eat them.any body else shoot them on rape!! dad Posted November 3, 2015 Author Report Share Posted November 3, 2015 no i am not sure i am not a wildfowler the farmer said they were pinks, the only ones i am certain of are the canadas there were 3 different kinds though. got a pond half a mile away that we feed and got shoveller and gadwall off it on saturday which was a surprise i thought we only had mallard in cambridgeshire miles from the coast. dad Posted November 3, 2015 Author Report Share Posted November 3, 2015 i belong to a syndicate game shoot with a duck drive so always use non toxic. the canadas come together the other 2 come together and quite a size difference. is the pink likely to be the smallest. i think it will be easier to shoot one than post a picture do you have any easy tips. shropshire sam gave me instructions some time ago but i didnt want to go back to uni. i only have very basic pc skills but would love to share pictures.
