Stung paws

I've been out today shooting with my 2 year old Cocker and when we got home she's been going insane scratting and kicking out and really biting her paws. The wood where we shoot still has patches of nettles so obviously she's stung her pads or maybe she's allergic to something. I have bathed them in a weak tcp solution but i was just wondering if anyone else has similar problems and what they use. She's always been out with me but it seems she's still not getting used to it...maybe she will with time...cheers.

my two spaniels have had the same thing!, one of my permissions has mostly cabbage growing, and if we`ve worked the fields, when they get home they go made chewing and trying to clean their pads. I was thinking it might be something sprayed on the cabbage .there`s no stinging nettles growing in amongst them either. wondering about some sort of barrier cream??
