I find it a bit concerning that on a shooting forum this doesn't have a higher profile and only a handful of replies! Please kick up a fuss even if you don't think it will affect you because sooner or later creep will come into the legislation and it WILL. Sorry if this has been posted elsewhere on the forum.

The EU Parliament will discuss (among other issues) the issues regarding civilian possession of firearms at a gathering TOMORROW MORNING. - 25 November 2015

We need as many MEP's as possible to raise these questions:

How did the work of the EUC sub-committee to counter ILLEGAL TRADE of illicit arms turn into a working group to limit the freedoms of law-abiding citizens?

How many violent crimes are committed EU-wide with sports- or hunting guns, compared to the number of illegally eastern-block weapons used for these types of crimes?

Surely there must be some statistics regarding this.

We need as many MEP's as possible to become aware of this disproportionate draft of legislation, and it's impact on law-abiding citizens, when the measures have no impact on criminal activity and terror.

PLEASE, if you have ANY contacts to ANY MEP's, use the next few hours wisely!

Tomorrow can be the day we win or lose, even before the voting process has started.

Next meeting of interest is DEC 07, so please do all you can to influence your MEP's!!!

It's now at 184,143

Signed, all members of the shooting community need to get behind this. Without a united voice and numbers coming forward, we can only blame ourselves if things don't go the way we all know they should. At least if you've signed, you've done your bit!

This is probably my fault, it seems that whenever I become involved in something the MAN decides it's bad and ****s it all up. I wanted to buy a semi auto pistol many moons ago OH no cannot have that, then I started collecting deacs then the specs changed and now they want to ban them too! It's a shame I lost all of them in a boating accident :whistling: I have 2 semi auto shotguns that are black, well ****** me sideways if they wont decide they look military  I suppose I will have to spray them orange.

So if my guns are painted pink, they can stay? It is the "look" what matters? I've written to my MEP, written to the idiots in Brussel, done the petition, stirred up **** at the airsoft facebook page (200 comments in a day on my post), put my club on the case, also contacted friends/forums in my home country to raise avareness. Pointed out to the morons as well that they are protected by guns while implementing their masterplan dissarming whole Europe. They shoukd ban those guns too! Make whole Europe a big "gun free zone". That works, doesn't it? This has changed my mind, leave Europe pls! (Saying this as non-UK born)
