motty
A lot of miles walked to get that footage, well done gents. You're not wrong, Steve. I'm a little annoyed with myself for missing all the other flights where I didn't take the camera. I'm hoping Jules has a bit of film of some of those. lakeside1000
Thanks for the video Motty, I like the high bird shots, very impressive as these are the ones I struggle with, do you use any decoys ? I notice you don't use the caller very much, since I started the decoying with the Sillosocks I find the caller is necessary to bring them around onto a line that gets them sighted on the decoys, once they see them they come straight in without another call. I have been knocking them down from up to 60 yards with some 3.5" 42 gram , just shop bought as I don't load them myself but they seem ok as long as the range is not excessive. Its my first wild fowling season but I must say I love it, I don't know why I didn't get into it much earlier, Its only taken me 50 years of shooting to discover it. but I think I'm hooked for life what's left of it, keep posting the videos , much appreciated
motty
I haven't used decoys on the marsh, but I may in the future. I only call geese when they aren't coming on the line I want. JDog
A fine video Motty but why did you miss the doddlers and kill the difficult high ones?
motty
A fine video Motty but why did you miss the doddlers and kill the difficult high ones? There are various reasons, but sometimes the closer ones can be more difficult. Also, I find it a little more difficult shooting in company. Timing it so that everyone shares the action can be off-putting. Still, I know I can shoot far better than that.
muncher
So do I bud takes time to be comfy with company you know when you shoot at the same time that you are compatible.
