sitsinhedges
What recipe? Give us the pressures. Give us the recipe. I was assuming something like AS, a low dose on a cold day.

sitsinhedges
Well the pressures are certainly seem high enough. Some powders just burn dirty, maybe this is one of them. I've never used the stuff.
hatsanmad
Dont get me wrong then went bang which is a plus. And i shot at a board i put paper on and the patterns were good at 40 yard with half choke. Have read just now that some have said it is a bit of a dirty powder. Must admit for my first homeloads im impressed with them. Cant wait to try them on some ducks now.
Guest cookoff013
It's to do with the natural burn rate and the pressure peak height and duration. I used a silly fast powder once, pressure peak was short. The loads were exceptionally clean. With that load, there is nothing that can be done. It's at almost the Max saami pressure. And its still dirty ! . Live with it. Full stop.
Cyrus1988
Where are you storing the cartridges/powder?
hatsanmad
Cyrus i hope you dont mind but i wont state were my ammo is stored exactly. But there kept in a dry warm place so no damp or cold to effect them apart from when i take them out.
Stonepark
i don't think the pressure gets high enough for complete burning in a shotgun (pistols get up to 35,000psi) and therefore appears dirty when used for shotgun.

hatsanmad
Just checked the book and its claiming it should produce 1370 fps. As i said im happy with how they performed and as someone said i can put up with the dirtyness aslong as they work
