Pigeons shot by PW members UPDATE

I see a locked post from Dunleld which shows the annual totals of birds shot by PW members. Problem is it runs to 2011. Any chance of having this updated?

I appreciate that the info is probably only as good as the number of members posting but it would be nice to see it updated annually.

Do we sense that there are fewer birds being shot or is it simply a case that members are not posting their bag tallies?

I dont post my bags either . For no reason other than i just dont think about it i spose .

That said i do enjoy having a nose at the totals every now and then . So maybe i should make the effort .

I just post my yearly total at the end of December when not planning to get out again. Would be good if everyone kept a count and added to the total post as would be strong evidence as to the numbers killed and therefore what benefit we contribute to UK Agriculture plc

I keep a record of numbers shot to let my permissions know. I send a text of the total to my farmers at Christmas....as I am relatively new to some of them I request permission each year .... so I tell them the total, wish them a Merry Christmas and New Year and ask if OK to continue on permission as per last year. All positive responses so far!

Without the majority posting then surely the stats will have little significance if any?

No significance I would say. I stopped posting my totals a couple of years ago and shoot around 1000 pigeon a year.

PW has over 37 000 members, How many of these people actually post their totals - less than 1% I suspect ?????
