Which flapper (and accessories)

Recommended Posts

I've have only ever used a turboflapper from AA decoys with dead birds. These are a cheaper option with a random timer (£45) .... no need for a remote. Worked well for 2 seasons .... but like any method they have good days and bad days. I have had a couple of days with over a 100 pigeons using just a flapper and about 20 half-shells.

Flappers are really the business in my opinion I have seen pigeons turn from over a 1000 yards away and decoy. I use 2 in my horseshoe pattern and on there day can be devastating.

I also use them with the magnet as well if the pigeons are really on form but as we all know pigeons can be wary of the magnet that's when flappers come into there own.I have shot more pigeons using flappers than the magnet last year and we are talking hundreds of birds not a few. A1 turbo flappers are the ones I use and they are great I use them on a random timer bought of ebay and from china you can get 2 for less than £15 because he doesn't charge for 2 lots of postage though they take 2-3 weeks to arrive but they do the job.
