Falkirk is normally mega busy on a Sunday as it offers such good value shooting.

Auchterhouse opens for registered comp's on a Sunday, but normally shut. They had a noise complaint made which means they have had to close a lot of stands and be conscious of when they shoot. They had to get a noise survey carried out too.

Cluny has had a noise complaint made as well with someone new moving into the area, it is shameful really that it should happen.

I am happy to go to any of the grounds, but will have to work around other work commitments and any registered shoots as plan to compete a lot more this year.

From a selfish perspective shooting in cold damp conditions murders me (arthritis) hence the reason I have not commented about doing something in February.

I do appreciate that you guys put in the effort to get people along and last year it was an uphill struggle for you, so instead of trying to do something every month should we look at maybe 3 or 4 days through the warmer months? Maybe a kick off session in April and then June, August and then later in September before the pheasant season starts. If we wanted something late in the year then maybe arrange for a PW live game day?

4 different grounds north (Auchterhouse), east (Cluny), south (Braidwood/Auldgirth) and west (North Ayrshire) or similar? Shares the travel around a wee bit.

Thinking if fewer days them maybe more will be inclined to get involved and we could make it more of an event with breakfast before & lunch after, charity contribution at the end of the 'season', prizes, etc.

If we could get enough people interested then could maybe even look at a simulated game day with barbecue, etc. Maybe something to think about in the middle of the year when it is light until 10pm so could do something central located and after work for most people?

Some thoughts from me and hope some of the other Scottish contingent chip in as well.

Ewan/Tignme thanks for making the effort to get it all going :good:

How's about we set a date and post up another thread called "Scottish Members Funday 5" then get in touch with everyone we can to boost numbers and create an awareness!

I'm up for March, and Cluny would be a good idea! We can hit the cafe for lunch and chat face to face about the plans for 2016!

I'd be up for a game day, also a sim day if it comes to it!

How's about!

Sunday 28th February? Cluny Clays!

Anyone coming from the west, head to Falkirk and jump in with me to save fuel to/from Kirkcaldy. We can shoot first thing then have a coffee/lunch. When we are at lunch we can have a chat about the way forward, GRClark, if its weather that's no good for your arthritis pop over for a coffee and a chat about how we progress this.

Even at least if this is just a Funday/catch up day it will get the ball rolling!

Should we start a separate topic and get head count?
