Fuji Shooter Posted January 31, 2016 Report Share Posted January 31, 2016 Hi Recently picked up a Forester Turbo. The 16" alloys have an offset of 48. I picked up a set of Japan STI alloys today that have an offset of 53. Question is does that mean I need some 5mm spacer? Albert 888 Posted January 31, 2016 Report Share Posted January 31, 2016 I'm not 100% but they will stick out if you will 5mm more than others. So no need for spacers. Only way to find out is put a tyre on the rim and try on the front and back for clearance. I guess I will jack up the car and offer one up to see how it fits or if it rubs. I tried looking on the net but I guess I must be a bit dim. kie1981 Posted February 26, 2016 Report Share Posted February 26, 2016 The 53mm offset means they will stick out 5mm further I use to run a wheel with a 35mm offset on my forester (23mm further out) with no problems. The only problem you will encounter is if the sti wheel you have bought is off an 05 or later car as the stud pattern will be wrong (5x114.3 instead of 5x100) Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
