Wingman
Evening all Any ideas why the top lever on my side by side doesn't close properly when the gun is loaded? When closed empty it moves just slightly right of centre but loaded it's well to the right. Gun locks up fine no play in the barrels and tight on its face also shoots fine. Any views? Magnum 3
Have you tried different ammo? It must be due to cartridge fit in extractors.
Lord Geordie
Forgive the cynical question, but are you a gentle closer? I see some people mollycoddle their gun and close it so carefully as not to make a noise! Have you tried snapping it shut? I had a few guns, that I shut careful, they would leave the top lever far to the right and the lock out the side of the gun! Last one was my Ugartechea

figgy
Don't slam it shut, just close it with a bit of effort. Try different carts as the ones you have could have a slighter bigger rim. I find black gold a pain in some older guns.
