Bobba
With thanks to Dave-G, FalconFN, Steve.b.wales I'm much the poorer, my pension is depleted, but I'm now happily in the world of NV. Been out a few time but would welcome advice from the experienced user on tactics. At the moment I'm using NV and spotter for bunnies with an Aa S410. For example, do you leave add-on + IR on all the time and stalk or only switch both on when in a position to shoot? All advice welcomed. Thanks. mick miller
Did you buy or make? Hopefully the latter. If you want to maximise battery life switch it off. Or get one of mine, they do it themselves after 5 minutes unless you press the on button again (which resets the timer - I don't use a latching switch ) Edited February 8, 2016 by mick miller
peek-at
Sweep field for eyeshine to give you an idea where they are..... Switch off and walk up to within range......Simple as that! Alternatively if you have a warren pin pointed just pick a good spot to lay down and wait for them to come out. Battery life is the only other thing to consider. If you have plenty battery you can make more use of your NV to see whats going on. If you have limited battery life you will need to use it more sparingly. Good Luck.
