Thought of this

RSPCA shut on saterday

Police response time is on average 9 weeks here and he's on holiday with his kids from tomorrow

Do you think I ought to include a collar and lead in my check list

A lead depends on how old the pup is and if you are planning on taking it a walk.

An adjustable lengh collar with an address tag might be a good idea.

Also a car harness/seat belt or car crate if your Wife is not going with you to collect .

Also sandwiches and a flask unless you know somewhere to eat that allows you to take dogs in.

You might not want to leave a cute puppy unattended in the car, there are some scrotes about who would steal as soon as your back was turned.

First off obviously choose the breed you want

Find someone who is breeding a litter for working use and not just after money

Decide if you want a dog or bitch pup ...if having a dog ask for all bitch pups to be removed so only viewing the dog pup

Watch me he pups interacting with the other pups look out for shy nervous pups and boisterous pups and find one I between

Check teeth eyes ears nuckles coat and make sure no swollen tummy or hernia,s .

Tack missus or kids with you to hold comfort the pup on drive back...

Also take a towel with you to rub on the pups and the mother then wrap the pup up in it for journey home .

At home have a crate ready with bending in and heat lamp or mat if kennle img out side...

Dog bowls beds food and something to chew on and some pup training pee pads should be bought befor collecting the dog

Then most important thing of all EAR PLUGS

Edited to say " just realised its a Bit late as you already have pup lol "
