Listened to what Fenboy said about canting the birds on the rotary but after a while they move back to the horizontal. To get enough purchase on the screws (heads square about 15mm) that came with the particular arms that I have to stop this needed a pair of pliers - something else to lose. Just found these - handy even if you lose one even - there's no minimum order and no account required. fenboy Posted February 27, 2016 Report Share Posted February 27, 2016 My wing spreaders already came with something similar , the problem a lot of them have is that the tube that accepts the tightening bolt does not hold enough thread and can be stripped easily if you over tighten , this can be overcome by having a nut of the correct size welded to the tube . deny essex Posted March 10, 2016 Report Share Posted March 10, 2016 I just bent some 6mm bolts with a straight shank at a right angle for mine, heads cut off and rounded as I found the plastic too easy to break when given some grunt to hold fast.. The flat works on the steel but some of my arms are fibre which makes that a no no so I picked the option that suits both and so far it works a treat.
