Very strange coloured wood pigeon

Out on the rape today, this bird came in across the decoy's, at first I thought it was a feral and could not be bothered to shoot but it turned back into the wind and I saw the wing bars and neck , realising it was a woody I did the dirty on it and gave it a barrel,

The colouring is very pale mauve and pink , never seen one this light before, I did take another just after this one which was also lighter than normal but not as pale as this one.

Anyone else get these coloured birds or other variations?

Never seen that before looks like a cross between a woody and a feral

whitebridges is spot on. It's definitely a leucistic woodpigeon.

Leucism is a condition, similar to albinism, where In leucistic birds, affected plumage lacks melanin pigment due to the cells responsible for melanin production being absent. This results in white feathers.
