Secondhand perazzi

It's all down to personal preference. I've always preferred those models without central ribs, which are now no longer made, so mine is quite an old model.

I searched for quite a long time; found the model I wanted, paid a hefty deposit lest it disappear, and then found another two, both at the CLA last year.

Firstly you are doing the right thing trying to find a Perazzi, Superb barrels and triggers second to none.

They are expensive! I've just found a Kemen 20 bore for comparatively little money, just having the lop lengthened. Should be with me in a couple of weeks all being well.

Yes hopefully and I've always admired them.

There's a kemen km4 on gunstar which is up for £2.5k and it's quite nice.

I prefer older guns with that aged look and wouldn't mind one made in my birth year of 86 as I saw one made in that year a few months ago. Like you, if I get one it won't be rushed. So did you end up with one from the CLA aswell?

No, I couldn't afford both at the time, even with a view to taking the risk I'd sell the one I was buying, but emailed Premier Guns some time later with pictures of my current Perazzi and my Grand European ( which I wasn't keen on selling but rather testing the waters ) with a view to a trade in, and they offered me more than I paid for the GE but never mentioned the Perazzi ! :)

I like the Perazzi I have very much ( MX4C ) but just found it frustrating after searching for so long for another two to pop up ( one was an MX6 on the Holts Auctioneers stand ) almost immediately.

Good luck in your search.

Thought that was a bit extravagant ha. Being offered more than you paid for a gun by a gunshop is a rare thing. Sounds like it's not going to be an easy search and I bet that was bloody annoying. Just wish I could stretch to some of the ones I've seen. Thanks.

Are you looking for a sporter or trap?

They are all good, The MT6 never draws big money, its a good gun, any of the MX range, in the price you mention there are a few decent mx8's knocking about, the 4 is good as the 3, its a horses for courses job, Ive had a load of Perazzi's of all models upto SCO Gold's, they take beating, won most with an MX8 SC3 for OT and also an old MX4 action, with MX2000 34" barrels on it at DTL and UT

Anything can be sorted on them, you will even find some with a new piece dovetailed in the action face around the pin holes, from the early 80's, they had a funny batch, so they remedied them and they are still going strong.

Talk about making me want one even more :-)

I want a sporter with 30" barrels. I've never truly had a gun that is my go to gun. Had Winchesters, berettas but none have them have really been keepers and I just want a gun that is just that. I do the odd clay session and rough shoot and just want a gun for both. Got a supergrade and a macnab highlander 20b at the moment but am willing to part with them for the right perazzi. Never been a fan of the looks of mirokus and Brownings even though I know they are brilliant guns. Plus I have to have blue/black/dark grey actions which of course perazzi have.
