OJW
Following the overhaul, is this gun one that you could put plenty of cartridge through or do you need to be very gentle with it as an old gun?

OJW
Thanks. Would it be possible to post pictures of the inside of the barrels and any stamps on the inside of the gun?
JDog
OJW don't worry about usage. My old one had 60,000 cartridges through it and it was in perfect condition when I sold it last year. If it fits you buy it.
Scully
Not a lot of money for what appears to be a lot of gun. Nice.
wymberley
That's light for a SL, my BL of the same year is a few ounces heavier. There's a fair chance it could be 2 & 1/2" which the ad' doesn't mention.

wymberley
Are you doubting his doubt? Yup. My BL comes in at a whisper over 6lb 4oz and is 2 & 1/2" which was common back in the day after all, they were modelled on the Churchill originals. Yep, the weight could be down to the timber density but as a general rule, the SLs were the heavier of the two and there could be another reason for it. 'nuff from me. rimfire4969
I love them, I had one a few years back and really regretted selling it. Then a couple of weeks back one was mentioned on here and we done a deal. Just waiting for it to arrive at my rfd. Very excited. Can't wait to walk up some pheasant and woodcock with it. OJW
I am very please to say that myself and the seller have agreed a sale. The seller was very nice, helpful and good to deal with. I'm very much looking forward to completing the sale and picking up the gun from my local RFD.
