crowcaller Posted April 30, 2016 Report Share Posted April 30, 2016 When to have a look at some sowing that was done in the week, it's a field I have shot many time over the years and it always has crows on it ,the problem is the rookery is in hear shot of the shooting and some times a couple of shots and that's it .today the wind was blowing away from the rookery so it looked good set up midway along the field near a hawthorn and a oak Tree , set 8 decoys out and within 5 minster, has a bird down after that it was dribs and drabs but when I had about 10 dead birds they came in a lot better,had some good sport and picked 31 plus a pigeon the bag was rooks jackdaws carrion crows and the 1 pigeon.so a enjoyable afternoon ,farmer happy as well.
