Brass: colour and size.

The cartridge company beat me to it any colour, any wad, any load between 19-32 gm dependant on 28,20 or 12g, lead shot size 5-6, point them in the right direction down comes a game bird. The only thing I would like to redesign is the price £50 a thousand will do

Most seem to favour slower fps than I thought. I thought most would want to match there clay cartridge velocity or maybe a smidgen quicker in case they are a bit behind it will get the shot there quicker.

Hi

Preference a slightly slower cartridge with the bigger shot size seems to pattern better for me

Anything near a paper impax 6 shot is my choice medium pheasant to partridge

Just my choice /thoughts

All the best

No it won't the smaller clay cartridge shot may start quicker but will quickly slow down on the other hand the larger game shot may start a little slower but will be slower to slow down.

28ga

24gm shot 61/2 or 6

Vectan A0

Gualandi wad

12 Gauge. The old Eley Grand Prix ounce and a sixteenth > 30 grm #6 paper coloured in the traditional Indian orange. They used to have a lovely smell to them when fired. Eley made a zillion of these

I liked the all plastic case of the Rottweil MK.2 also.

20 Gauge. The little Rottweil club 20 in the black plastic case. I know that these were the most lethal of all of the 20 Gauge carts that my mate and I tried. And we tried every type that we could find. They are no longer sold but we wish that they were.

SMI standard in 20 were blooming good to.

I'd just copy william Powell blue lightenings but 2 adjustments

Clear case Gordon

Wool wad

33g 4.5 shot English size as current load

Same speed would be perfect

Them blue lightening are a bloody good cartridge !!! My local rfd was having a clear out, I got a slab for £40. Great cartridge.

20/70/16 Red

Fiocchi 615

SIPE N - 1,17

Gualandi SG25

Shot UK #5 (6 IT) - 27gr

6 point crimp @ 59.8 mm

417 m/s

730 Bar

20/70/16 Red

Cheddite CX1000

IMR 800X - 1,35

WAD: LB6 + internal cork

Shot UK #5 (6 IT) - 27 / 27,5 gr

6 point crimp @ 60,1 mm

V1:404 m/s

V2,5: 390 m/s

If you change the wad to B&P Z2M 19 you'll end up betweet 690 -710 bar but the LB6 will be best for high pheasants
