Looking forward to it although on paper its worth nothing considering the MW titles are on the line and its being fought at a CW of 155lb.

Actually would like to see Khan win and although he has the style to bank rounds against the Mexican he hasnt the brain to keep him out of trouble and when he gets tagged it will be over imo.

Alvarez is a PPV star for sure but has been very lucky with some of his decisions and got schooled by Mayweather and hopefully after this he mans up and fights GGG at the real MW limit.

War Khan!(But very unlikely)

Yup, agree with everything you've said pretty much. I've always liked Khan as a fighter, he's put in some really impressive performances over the years and I think he's always been under-appreciated because of his chin.

But yeah, i think Canelo will be too much for him on the night, if Khan can weather the early rounds could go the distance but i doubt it.

Alvarez has improved since meeting Mayweather. I don't think you could say the same for Khan.

Khan has a glass jaw, fast hands, but little between his ears.

Alvarez punches harder, is far stronger and has a chin. He is also quite humble and a whole lot smarter than Khan.

Little to chose between them in foot speed.

I will be shocked if Khan wins. I have absolutely no time for him, but genuinely hope he doesn't suffer permanent damage.

Id agree with you on that Gordon.

I think Alvarez will dispatch Khan in under 8 rounds.

Would like to see Kahn win and fair play to him for taking this fight but cannot see him winning.

Canelo would need to fight GGG at the proper 160 limit and not demand a catchweight contest which IMO should be banned!

On the subject of khan, I know I'm going to get shot down in flames for this but I think he may actually have the tools to give mayweather a good fight, I'm not saying he'd win but I believe khans speed might be enough to trouble the pretty boy defence. Tin hat on

Not a case of needing a tin hat. Khan might win, but it will be almost a miracle. I can hear the excuses now - he had to go up two weights, because people were avoiding him, Alvarez cheated by hitting him back, Alvarez was faster than he thought, Alvarez had a chin etc. etc.

I would think more of Khan - which wouldn't be hard - if he stopped slagging off Kell Brook and actually got rematches with Bredis Prescott, Lamont Peterson and Danny Garcia. Great fighters set the record straight - not Khan.

PS. Mayweather has retired and didn't need to fight damaged goods like Khan, who is actually fighting Saul Alvarez.

if it goes the distance then its a khan win

if the fight gets stopped then its an alvarez win

I know there is a lot of khan haters here BUT good luck to the lad, I would rather watch him than that FAT Irish Bum FURY

I'm aware of the status of mayweather. Don't know why everyones slating khan he's not a bad boxer, chins not great but he's hardly damaged goods. Don't know if he can put Alvarez away though.

I'm not slating Khan. He gets knocked over for fun and has had some truly dreadful knockouts.

Perhaps if he stopped slating Kell Brook - who is a World Champion, whereas Khan has not been for 4 years - he might appear more humble. He has an arrogance way beyond his ability. He prattles on about "his legacy" - chinny, braggart from Bolton would be fitting.

Why does he not pursue the three names mentioned? I suspect he thinks the outcome would be the same.

Just thinking the same, Kahn will get banged early on... I'm thinking a stoppage In round 3 or 4.

Aye,if he is tagged i think there will be no recovery.

I do think he has the style to give the pretty ponderous Mexican trouble but his brain has always let him doon.

A bit of me says he can do it but when you consider how many times Chris Algiere caught him flush in his last gig then Alvarez is bound to.

Only the slicker fighters with good footwork make him look ponderous but if he has a stand in front oppo hes fine.

Lara and Trout were slick and some of the judging in those fights was pretty dire and with Mayweather winning near every round one judge actually gave it a draw which was comical.

sako - valid points. I just can't see Khan running away for 12 rounds. Must as I detest him, sometimes he is too brave or stupid for his own good. He leaves his weak chin hanging out to be hit. Unfortunately, it gets hit far too easily.

Absolutely.

Can say ive never wanted Khan to win a fight for many years due to his mouth and being pretty deluded but all props for taking this.

I would like him to take this but as you say its a long long shot for him to stay disciplined enough for 12 and not get badly shook esp with his whiskers.

My main gripe with Alvarez is the ***** hes speaking about GGG having to come down to 155lb to fight for his MW title even though the limit is 160lb.Some of the quotes this last fortnight from him and Oscar Dela Hoya are nothing short of retarded.

Might just be to hype the fight but with Alvarez being Oscars big cash cow i cant see him risking him any time soon.

I read today that Alvarez will probably hit the ring at 175lbs, which does make a mockery of the 155lbs limit.

Personally, I believe that Golovkin could fight Alvarez and Khan at the same time and comfortably win. One punch - that's Khan out of the way, then onto Alvarez.

As a Fan of Amir Khan' Ive been doing a lot of thinkiing about this fight and unfortunately like the majority I can only see one winner unless Khan can do something Extraordinary.

Canelo, although he comes across as a very down to earth likable Guy does not really appeal to me as a boxer. He is way to big and powerful for Khan and i dont think speed is not gonna be enough.

Like he really is all there..From the upper body strength,To the Tree trunk legs.."Which gives punching power and also soaks up punches" to the Pitbull/Rottweiler type head sitting on his broad shoulders..Khan simply does not have the power to hurt this man. Khan for me can not do a Mayweather Job on him as he doesnt have the defensive skills or Slippery tactics.tying up ect of the Moneyman and as was already mentioned Canelo will have improved from that Fight.

I know im stating the obvious here when i say khan looked pretty big at the weigh in last night and actaully looked bigger than Alvarez on the scales but Khan had to bulk up to 155 whereas Canelo will rehydrate and come into the Ring as a Monster. Most people are saying the predictable about Khans Mentum but i think Canelo can do Khan serious harm with body Shots and i can see him getting put down with a body shot rather than around the Mandible.

One things for certain Khans got Balls as big as a Suffolk Ram and a Heart of a Lion and I wonder If/when Canelo wins this fight will he show the Same characteristics and get in with somone his own size in the form of the man they call the 3 G's who IMO would take him apart.

I really hope Amir can Shake up the world and I might even say a prayer for him' as he is gonna need all the prayers he can get.

Time to set the alarm and a few hours Kip' Come on King Khan' really hoping you have a game plan that works and hoping for an upset.
