Woodpigeon in The Czech Republic

Random question. I'm moving to Prague in the next few months and wondered if anybody had any experience shooting woodies there. Clearly Czech is filled to overflowing with boar, deer and driven pheasant shoots however I have heard nothing about the lowly pigeon and whether they have a pest problem as we do here in the UK. I'm wondering as to whether I should hump all my decoying equipment over or simply put it in storage.

Anybody got any experience/knowledge of the sport there?

If you google "can I shoot wood pigeons in the Czech Republic?" It brings up "expats.cz" which says you can shoot wood pigeons - Yipee. but, they have a season: only from 1st Aug - 31 Oct. oh ******.

I am very excited about the boar shooting, supposedly they have a real problem with them entering towns as there are so many of them. Yum, I can see an Asterix the Gaul type feast coming on..

Have been thinking of short holiday for boar shooting in Czech Republic. From what I've read so far it seems odd that in addition to the holiday costs you expect to pay you also have to pay for every boar you shoot and the bigger the boar the pricier it gets.
