A day of different Gauges

Myself and Motty have been keeping an eye on a field of late drillings and as this is Mottys permission and he is busy saturday he decided that today was the day to shoot this field . When we spoke on the phone i said i will take my Hushpower 20 out as had a little go with it one evening and thought the slab of victory 24 gram 6s were a bit loud so I was keen to use them up .Motty said I will bring my over and under 410 as well and if they decoy well I will use that. We met quite early in the morning and we were greeted with fog, but undeterred we set up in a shallow dyke (again mud every blinking where ) with 12 dead birds and two on the rotary put out too our right with the wind pushing right to left . Not long in and we had our first customer straight in and added to the pattern . Progress was very slow and we both thought this isn't going to happen and 20 looked the best we could hope for when at around 1.oclock the birds started to decoy from all directions but they kept veering off , and several rotary moves and decoy reshuffle we seemed to have to their liking . Motty picked up the 410 and had some nice birds ,I carried on with the Hushpower all day and took some nice long crossers and over head shots I missed some easy ones as well and found the gun not to bad to use .we finished on 133 picked, and if I had used the WP_20160519_001_zpszrauzxcp.jpg12 all day I think we could of had a few more but I was determined to have a good go with it ,and I am very pleased with the guns performance ,I have recorded a lot of the day so I will post a video up at the weekend.

Good report. It was time I payed you back with a good day, though it looked unlikely for the first few hours. The video should be a good one. We both shot some birds that were up/out there a bit.

The worst thing we had to contend with was the amount of stock doves around.

Great day and report , rubbish presentation???. Did you find that the hushpower allowed birds to follow on without being spooked. Again well done to the both of you.

The hushpower didnt spook them very much and a few following in kept coming but it wasnt the best test as there were a lot of single birds.Sorry about the presentation but Motty did help!
