A1Decoy Posted June 7, 2016 Report Share Posted June 7, 2016 (edited) Hello, I'm going out too Australia to do a bit of work and traveling in September, i was wondering if anyone knows of any good telescopic fishing rods that i could easily carry from place to place. The reason i ask is the last time i looked into telescopic rods they all seemed to be cheap and poorly made. fat_jay Posted June 7, 2016 Report Share Posted June 7, 2016 I have a rovex 5 piece travel rod....12ft 3lbs tc ....sold as a carp rod and i have had carp on it....but also used it for Bass off the rocks and Beach in Devon and Casting feathers for Maks in Cornwall. I've fished there quite a bit and could pass on some advice, although it is a big country with lots of different types of fishing. Either way, I wouldn't go for a telescopic. Unless things have changed in the last few years, they are generally low quality and prone to breakage. A decent multi-section rod is much better. I'm not quite sure what type of fishing i will be doing, i think it will be a case of whatever stretch of sea/river is closest to me. Yea i think i will definitely be going for a multi section rod.
