B&P M92S ?

Recommended Posts

If it is the same B&P from Italy who make cartridges, then you are unlikely to be able to obtain their products in the UK.

This is because they supply Gamebore with a lot of their components and will not sell direct into the UK as they consider a conflict of interest could arise.

I use their carts for clay shooting and have to buy them in France, as you can't get them here any longer.

Can you PM me the supplier in France or could you tag some M92s on to a ammo order perhaps. At a fee of course.?

I am ****** of with Gamebore taking this attitude i will never buy another cartridge of theirs .

Gent's big difference bringing back cartridges across the channel as they are 1.4s not a single ferry operator or the tunnel will allow any powder which is 1.3c. Only option is commercial transport which is mega pounds to do.

What we need is a powder supplier who is independent of the cartridge manufactures and able to buy and sell all the leading makes

Like they have in Germany for instance but sadly will never happen.

It's not just gamebore with that attitude, they want to sell cartridges not components hell that may encourage you to reload that will never do.

Rip of Britain etc.

Nice powder B&P I can remember the good days when we got it via the cut-offs gamebore used to sell.

Yes, rbrowning2 has confirmed what I would have said, transporting raw powder is a real no-no, not only that, I don't believe the Clay grounds that I frequent in France would even sell it, I believe home loads are banned in competition shooting, (just like the UK, thank goodness), so I doubt whether it would be readily obtainable..?

Picking up from rbrowning2 -who's absolutely right on his statement- i had this crazy idea: maybe George (proper cartridges) could put an order in if we are to split a drum or so of M92S

I wouldn't know how much the combined cost would be (powder + shipping) but could be an idea?

I'll be up for sharing if there is any interest and i can speak to George to see if he's up for it.

Alternatively, i think B&P have an official dealer here in UK, so, would probably be worth contacting him to check?

I don't think that's the case any longer, Derek Burnett in Ireland deals in B&P shells, but nobody in the UK, as far as I am aware..?

Its a neat idea, but its all too complicated to bother for a few loads.

The whole idea was to try and find a practical available powder to help prolong my Alliant powder stocks, until hopefully some more shows up.

I keep picking up the odd 1lb of Steel here and there but its thin on the ground.

M92S is ok for a couple of duck loads and it used to be cheaper than Vitavouri which seems to be about the best performing steel shot powder readily available here at the moment, but its not as cheap as i like it.

Vectan A0 is ok on price but i dont think it will be too usefull in a steel load. anyone ever loaded A) in steel if so what sort of vellocities were you getting and what shot weights.

In m92s i had a little high speed 7 eighths steel load big shot which killed geese, i used this load in a Remington 1100 2 3,4 inch i had when steel first came in and ammo and components were rare, bassicaly made it up out of more or less dessperation but it worked fantastic.

I was thinking of Dropping the Big duplexed shot load and just running duck shot say 3s or 4s in it, cheap low recoil and super fast killer.

As it is i may well end up loading a 32 gram load with something like A0 perhaps.

I did try SSB150 was given a half pound by a mate from south yorkshire who gave up with it in his ten.

I burned off the SSB150 trying to make it work which it did but it was not fantastic in the ten.

Anybody got any around 1 oz fast steel loads using this SSB150.?

And while i am on with this anyone any AO steel loads in the 1380 1420fps areas about 30 32 gram.

I would take some if George would order some in, i dont think it would be any conflict with his main business as i dont think he does any steel loads and it would just be wildfowlers that would take the powder from him........heres hoping :)

Duno George, but i kind of got the feeling from a couple of posts he made on here he did not want to sell powder for reloading, I made the mistake of thinking he was offering vectan for reloading and he pointed out this was not the case. Could have got it wrong but thats how i took it to read, TRy him i would have a few BS even though im sorted out now.

Spoke to the lad few time for components only

He tried to sell some shells but explained i do it more for the pleasure of reloading and experimenting that actual need (my very limited land doesn't offer much in terms of pigeons or wildfowl ...just enough for me to have some sport here and there) so, he said if i had an order for components to give him a buzz.

I was waiting for the Scottish game fair to get something delivered and leave him with some shell to proof; but can speak to him now and see what he thinks
