12b Slug question

Yes, but it's a lovely extra-cylinder now! :)

Forgive me, fellow PWers, for taking this thread off at a daft tangent.

Back to being serious again.... :good:

I shoot slugs with improved modified so quite a tight choke but it works fine with Benekke 'rifled' style slugs. The ridges are to allow the slugs to pass through a choked barrel.

got to love those slugs,

i wonder what the ballistic pay of is with 1oz and 1,1/8oz vs the 7/8oz loads.

and you actually can buy sights for your shotgun. they attach to the rib ! there is a fore and rear sights.

if anyone has slug on ticket, and wants to do some development ? i do not have slug on ticket, but i could help try and set up load ladders for development and have the ticket holder take them to birmingham.

i think A1 could be a real good winner for most "standard slugs" like the lee.... A1 has a huge range it works in.

i`m just throwing that out there, as there is a massive demand for slug data

Well, you can get “slug” barrels for most pump and semi auto shotguns. Not sure on the changing characteristics of slugs with weight. If you use Lee slugs, there seems to be a camp that says the 7/8oz slugs are more stable than the 1oz due to weight distribution…

Scrummy
