fortune Posted July 17, 2016 Report Share Posted July 17, 2016 when anyone sells a vehicle does the person buying it have to show the seller some sort of ID such as a utility bill or something to prove that they are who they say they are so that the name and address of the person actully is who they say they are and there is some sort of genuine address that the vehicle is going to ? However I'd always insist on some sort of ID for filling in the V5, which, as LG says, YOU are legally responsible for completing and sending to DVLA.
