I'd only take a head shot on an ostrich. If you just winged it it would be one hell of a runner :lol:

 

I can't imagine my old springer being able to pick it.

I have seen a springer retrieve an adult fox on a driven day, admitted it was mainly dragged and he was a big springer.

Very good. But a fox might weigh 14 kilos whereas an ostrich could weigh 120 kilos. And my old springer only has one good leg.

Actually Biggles is not a guts, will leave food. He seems to eat what he needs and does not guts food. He develops a hell of a tractive pull for a bitch on heat though!

A labrador leaving food is like a happy farmer. Something I haven't ever come across.
