A night on the bunnies

Hi all its been a while.

Finally got an evening out with the NV/.22.

Unfortunately the nights are drawing in already.

My mate decided to bring his two cockers to work them under the nv picking up.

I have never used dogs for night use, but they were worth the weight in gold working hard and faultlessly retrieving every kill, If anything I let them down with a few misses/rushed shots.

A lovely evening out with plenty of cloud cover and a good breeze.

We could of gone on all night but decided to call it a night around 12 and have a quick scan on the way home for a Fox to be rewarded with a nice solid thump from the cf to finish the night off .

Tired legs and tired dogs but a reasonable nights pest control.

Cheers :)

Great result.

We use a lab for night shooting, he loves it, off the back of the truck straight down the lamp beam.

.

I've always picked by hand.

We was shooting a fruit farm with big long aisles , dogs were brilliant running up each one collecting the quarry, saves so much time and there so quiet on collection :)

excellent nights work there but as you say the nights are quickly drawing in but on the plus side you can get out earlier and be in bed for reasonable time instead of 3am some nights i dont get in till then by time you put guns ect away its pillow time around 4am

...

Yes by time they all went into the freezer , kit away , showered about 1.30 :)

Thank you gents , JD & AM
