I have the 2010 model, bought three years ago. Brilliant off road capability and pulls the caravan a treat. I've got a plug and play chip on it and on a run 40+ to the gallon. The consumption gauge won't go any higher than 40! Genuine spares are pricey, but I've had no problems with it but I do keep up with the servicing. The interior is comfy and its good to drive. Go for it!

A friend who works security at all the major festivals has a 2010 one. Had it from new, it's done 180,000 miles so far.

One major fault, a servo unit in the diff failed. Dealer wanted to fit a new unit (don't they all!), an indie 4*4 specialist said he'd take the unit apart and try a repair, but no guarantees as the servo unit's won't always re-seal up afterwards. It worked, cost less than £200 to do, and that was 2 years ago.

I've noticed up in the Highlands where the conditions are really tough for a lot of the year (and there is no phone signal if you get stuck) . Isuzu is by far the most popular vehicle of choice now for people in remote areas.

That mostly comes down to price...

You can buy a very good spec Isuzu for about £25k, the Ford Toyota and Mitsubishi are dearer...
