Water Resistant Score Cards

When Mark and I took over Rixton CPC a little over a year ago we inherited a large box of score cards which looked like they would last for ever.

Our clerk has advised that it's time to get some more made; therefore I want to cease the opportunity to redesign the card and improve it if possible.

Some time ago I came across a score card that was made from a paper / card that was plasticised.

It didn't fall apart when it came into contact with rain water.

I've no idea what the stuff is called and would like to find a printer that can produce our replacement cards on the water resistant stock.

Any suggestions PW?

Print normal card and seal in plastic and wipe off for reuse.

Or you could try Alexanders Stationery at Dagfields near Nantwich. All sorts of card and paper there with lots of different finishes. They have more than what shows on the website.

Dagfields is nice for a day out as it has lots of shops and sellers.

Have a look at this stuff Webber http://www.aquascribe.co.uk/aql5-a5-aqualaser-printable-paper-250-sheets-120gsm-26-p.asp

You can print your own design for the score card with logo's, web addresses, phone numbers, etc and it is 100% waterproof too.

I used the same stuff for a Scottish championship shoot at the tail end of July and it worked perfectly.

Great, thanks.

Looks like I've found what I was looking for.

I'll order some and give it a go.

We've already sorted the design.

Hope the printer will handle the material.

Make sure it is a laser printer that you use with the link I sent you. If you are using an inkjet you need a different type of waterproof paper.

You can't print onto plastic paper with your computer printer, a laser printer has a heater and the plastic will melt and stick to it , knackering the printer.

Ink jet ink won't stick to the paper.

We use a company called 'Hi-Standard Studios', but there a few more, ring round the bigger clubs like 'Grange, Hodnet, Doveridge or Orston and ask who they use

hope this helps
