Hi all,

I'm a semi professional fox controller.

Been asked to control pigeons over a 500acre farm. Brought a pump action, truly **** so far.

What could o be doing wrong, few people are saying the gun is too short, some are saying I won't be giving enough lead some are saying my cartridges are poor.

Can it really make that much difference????

For reference, 76 cartridges shot.....not one bird hit.

P.s. I a professional rifle shooter in my real time job

Craig

phone up barbury clay pigeons near swindon and have a lesson also see what gun fit required, what choke in pump, i would think you not swinging through enough

what make of pump, never used one but looking at videos you need pull fore end so that may take you off line, try an O/U or semi auto

My bet (forgetting lead) is that your are missing below.

Forget chokes and which cartridge to use for now.

Set up a cardboard target a yard square and fire a shot at it centrally.

Lay odds, if like me you are hitting low. If so you need to adjust your point of aim to your point of impact.

It's worth a try.
